EDA developed a concept and business plan to form a partnership with the Baboquivari District to convert a beautiful and rustic adobe building into a Steakhouse Restaurant in the Topowa community on the Tohono O’odham Nation. The proposed location is approximately 1/3 of a mile from the new Museum and Cultural Center. The Baboquivari Steakhouse is a unique business concept because it incorporated so many entertainment features.

Some of the entertainment features include developing an interpretative and natural trail linking the Museum and Baboquivari Steakhouse, Plaza and Demonstration area that provides an entertainment venue such as music, dance, and basket-weaving demonstrations, outdoor grill and seating area, and a small gift shop so visitors can take unique foods and souvenirs back home.
Situated in the Sonoran Desert with stunning views of Baboquivari Peak and the rest of the mountain range, the dining experience would be extremely memorable. The Baboquivari District, however, decided not to pursue this partnership. Currently, the District uses the building for their District offices and general business purposes.
